The Painterly Print

On the first day of a two-day workshop, students learn about additive, subtractive, chine collé, and drawing transfer techniques. Using acrylic plates, water-based inks, and a small etching press, we explore the materials and tools to start on a series of mixed media monotypes. On the second day, we pull together prints, collage papers, colored pencil, water color, metallic pigments and playfulness to complete the work.
